Alan Andrus is excited to join the team at The Ehrhart School as the Deputy Superintendent. He joins the team with over three decades of experience serving as Superintendent, Principal, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, teacher and coach.  His educational philosophy is based on placing students first in every decision made, developing high expectations throughout the district, and building an atmosphere of team within the school and community.

Alan values a well-rounded education for all students and understands the importance of balance between academics, co-curricular and extracurricular activities in order to develop versatile individuals.

Alan’s wife, Lea Ann, is the Director of Curriculum & Instruction at North Zulch ISD and together they have 3 sons. Dustin is an independent consultant for oil & gas companies, including Chevron. He and his wife Jennifer reside in Normangee, TX and have 3 children, John Tyler, Allison & Jacob.  Payne is an assistant men’s basketball coach at New Mexico State University. He and his wife Addison reside in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Kaleb is a commercial lending officer at First Financial Bank. He and his wife McKenzie reside in Kingwood, TX. 

Mr. Andrus is honored and humbled to have been chosen to serve as Deputy Superintendent and looks forward to working with the students,staff, and parents at The Ehrhart School.
